Auditions for Big Brother Africa Amplified 7 open

Although many aspirants have filled entry forms, the auditions will be stretched to include others that did not submit paperwork.
M-Net Africa managing director Biola Alabi said the open auditions were mainly for people who did not manage to submit paper and electronic entries to the MultiChoice offices on time.

“We know that sometimes people do miss the cut-off for sending in their paper entry, so we’re opening the casting sessions again this year to late entries. Those people need to simply come to the casting venue and meet the team,” said Alabi.
However, people that submitted entries will be auditioned before the selection process is opened to everyone.
“Paper entries give our teams more time to work on them in detail. They also increase your chances of participating,” said Alabi.
The deadline for entries was Monday and they are now going through an adjudication process. The Endemol production team will identify the best entrants that will be invited to a casting session.
Liz Dziva, MultiChoice Zimbabwe public relations and publicity manager, said the response to the auditions had been overwhelming.
“Although we knew there would be a great response, the scale of this interest has been phenomenal, with more than 400 entries already received, among the highest number of entries for any edition of Big Brother Africa,” Dziva said.
Dubbed the Double Up, this year’s series will see each of the 14 competing countries sending two representatives each and one lucky winner will walk away with $300 000 in prize money.
Entry to the show is open to people who are 21 years of age or older, are English speaking, have a valid passport and are citizens of Zimbabwe.
They should be tolerant of views and lifestyle choices other than their own and must have the social flexibility to live in close proximity with others.
Last year, Zimbabwe was represented by Vimbai Mutinhiri and Wendall Parson.
